Happy Diwali Bhaiya Ji.
Happy Diwali. Happy Diwali Mummy Ji. Happy Diwali Ji. Happy Diwali Didi Ji. Happy Diwali Didi Ji. And a very Happy Diwali to our friends. Happy Diwali. Happy Diwali to all of us and you. All the stars, Happy Diwali to them. Everyone will join hands and sing , Happy Diwali to all of us and you. All the stars, Happy Diwali to them. Happy Diwali I don't want gold or silver necklaces I don't want gold or silver necklaces I just want the light of your love, of your love May you be with me every moment on the journey of life May you be with me every moment on the journey of life May every Diwali of mine be only at your doorstep Yesterday too everyone enjoyed a lot and today too we will all enjoy a lot and will enjoy ourselves Yes, but before enjoying let's do some homework Do you remember yesterday's homework Everyone remembers everyone practiced Yes, very good Then what was our homework yesterday?
Dheeraj. Very good. Our homework yesterday was Dheeraj. You all must have practiced a lot and enjoyed it too. You must have made reasons but you must have won them too. Seriously, Sonal ji, you made a lot of reasons. But you didn't win, you came out victorious. Seriously, yesterday when Sonia ji gave Dheeraj's homework and she also gave some examples like suppose your maid doesn't come, suppose the child keeps looking at the phone the whole day, then my first example itself fit. Just yesterday, my maid came and said, " Bhabhi ji, I won't be coming tomorrow."
I was initially scared. "It's Diwali, how will I manage?" Then I thought, "No , no," and remembered I had homework. Dheeraj and Bhaiya's promises are always with me today. So, the next moment, I told her, "It's okay." The thought also crossed my mind that if it's Diwali for me, it's for her too. So, the next moment, I immediately replied, "It's okay, you do it today and don't come tomorrow." The truth is, Bhaiya's promises and the homework we get are actually with us every moment.
They're for our own progress. The more we practice, the more we connect with Bhaiya. So, for me, it was truly a victory. But I'll keep trying. It's a great experience, Miniji. It's true that we gain awareness about these small things here, and we can make them successful. We can tick them. It makes us very aware and makes us better in our own situations. So let's carry this experience forward and celebrate a true Diwali. What a beautiful occasion it is , where, along with the light of diyas, we are able to brighten our lives as well.
Truly, it is only by Bhaiya Ji's grace that we celebrate a true Diwali. Where not just homes but hearts are illuminated. In fact, a true Diwali is only realized after meeting the Guru. It comes not once a year but every day. When our hearts are happy, when we see nothing wrong anywhere. When we feel that we are truly living in the Golden Age. You're absolutely right. So let's celebrate our true Diwali. But with a new style.
So, what do we have to do, Miniji? We're very simple, but it's not too difficult. We'll say one line, and after that line, you all have to say Happy Diwali, and after the second line , everyone has to say Shubh Deepawali. Okay? Let's give a little demo. Yes, of course. So, we'll all say Happy Diwali together. We'll celebrate Shubh Deepawali with Guru. So, let's get started. Yes. When light spreads in every direction then say Happy Diwali When beautiful lamps are lit in every home then say Happy Diwali When the light of truth burns within then say Happy Diwali When darkness is dispelled and a sense of belongingness comes then say Happy Diwali When respect is given to elders and love to younger ones then say Happy Diwali When the darkness of anger , jealousy and hatred is dispelled then say it.
Say it loudly Happy Diwali. When compassion comes in the heart and sweet words come on the lips then say Happy Diwali. When the decoration of the heart is more beautiful than the decoration of the house then say Happy Diwali. When Ram rules in our life then say Happy Diwali. When the heart becomes Ayodhya and a glimpse of the Lord is seen in every lamp. Happy Diwali. May Lord Ram rule not only in Ayodhya but also in our lives.
Happy Diwali. Say it loudly Happy Diwali. When the light of truth and dignity shines in life then say Happy Diwali. When smiles are shared and love is embraced by everyone then say Happy Diwali. When mind, words and deeds all three become pure then say Happy Diwali. When sweet voices rise from the heart, then say Happy Diwali, Happy Diwali, Happy Diwali. It was so much fun. Did everyone enjoy it?
Is everyone's true Diwali? Celebrate the true Diwali, O lovers, celebrate the true Diwali. Celebrate the true Diwali, O lovers, celebrate the true Diwali. Wow, this is truly the true Diwali. Where every heart becomes a lamp, and it was so nice to see your enthusiasm. So let's move on to our next homework. Yes. We should be excited for homework. There is practice, and there is progress. Try, try, try.
Today, in the homework for the second day of the carnival, we will all do a very beautiful exercise together. So today our topic is truth. That is, the practice of speaking the truth. We often change our words, sometimes to hide something, sometimes to falsely please someone. But speaking the truth requires no preparation, because the truth always comes straight from the heart. But today, we will simply embrace the truth from our hearts, speaking simply, without fear, without hesitation, and strive to continue this practice throughout the day, without any adulteration. We will all realize how easy everything becomes when we speak the truth, because it comes straight from the heart, calming the mind and purifying the heart. So, let's resolve to follow the truth throughout the day. Only then will our Lord Rama enter our lives, and the darkness will vanish, and the light of truth will shine. And to dispel this darkness, we will all have to strive like a lamp.
Because even a small lamp teaches us that to spread light, one must burn oneself. So, we are presenting a short story based on this through a skit. It's a small story, but the lesson is profound, so please pay attention. Once upon a time, it was Diwali night. In a small house, an earthen lamp, wick, oil , and matches were all kept together. When the time came to light the lamp, a debate suddenly broke out among the four. Then the clay spoke with great pride, "If I weren't there, how would the lamp be made? How would the lamp take shape? How would the lamp be made without me? I am the most important."
The wick replied with some resentment. "No, no, I am the most important. Without me, the lamp cannot burn. There can be no light. I am the one who gives the lamp its strength to burn. I burn myself to give light to others. Without me, the light is incomplete." The oil also remained silent and spoke in a serious tone. "Look, both of you are wrong. Without me, the lamp would be extinguished in a moment. I am the fuel that gives the lamp its power to burn.
Without me, the lamp cannot burn." The matchstick also spoke proudly. " What are you all talking about? Perhaps you are forgetting that without me, how can a lamp be lit? I am the spark that lights the lamp. That is why I am the most important." Everyone, immersed in their own egos, began to fight with each other. Just then, the woman arrived, overheard them, and smilingly told the lamp, "You are right. The lamp cannot burn without you. Because you fade away, taking the shape of a lamp.
This is what we all learn from you: true brilliance comes from humility, not arrogance." Then the woman said to the wick, " You're right. You're the foundation of the lamp's flame. It's from you that we all learn that one must burn one's selfishness to spread love." Then the woman said to the oil, "You're right. Without you, the lamp is incomplete. It can't burn for long. Just as the light of life cannot last without sacrifice and service."
Finally, the woman said to the matchstick, "You're right. The lamp's flame exists because of you. You teach us a very sweet lesson. Your struggle is an example. Your austerity has ignited you, and only then have you been able to enlighten others. In reality, you are all important and incomplete without each other. Just as a flower needs sunlight, water, and air to bloom, a lamp needs all of you to burn. The true Diwali is the light of hearts that comes from love, sacrifice, and humility. Only when we work together can we achieve great things and spread light everywhere. We can dispel darkness and bring light." In the end everyone hugged each other and said come let us come together and spread light and bring positivity in the society, bring change. Keep lighting lamp from lamp. Keep lighting lamp from lamp. Keep flowing the Ganga of love.
Keep flowing the Ganga of love. Keep lighting lamp from lamp. Keep lighting lamp from lamp. Keep flowing the Ganga of love. Keep flowing the Ganga of love . Because today is Diwali and the lamps have been lit, so let us continue the Diwali celebrations and wish everyone a Happy Diwali with a beautiful Bhajan. Happy Diwali, let the lamps burn to ashes, today is Diwali. Let the lamps burn to ashes, today is Diwali. Today is Diwali, the peacock of the heart dances, today is Diwali. Yes, the peacock of the heart dances, today is Diwali.
Yes, let the lamps burn and that today is Diwali. Yes, let the lamps burn and that today is Diwali. O the peacock of the heart dances, today is Diwali. O the peacock of the heart dances, today is Diwali. Yes, let the lamps burn and that today is Diwali. Yes, let the lamps burn and that today is Diwali. Every day is Diwali for the devotees of the Guru, because the Lord of the world appeared for them, dispelling all darkness and illuminating their lives by lighting the lamp of knowledge. The primary purpose of celebrating Diwali is to ensure the triumph of truth over falsehood. May light reign over darkness, and may all inner vices be eradicated. If we look at our religion, today holds significance for Lord Rama,
who returned to Ayodhya after defeating Ravana. This is a day that everyone knows is the day Lord Rama returned to Ayodhya. The world returns to its home. The significance wasn't in returning. The significance was in ensuring the victory of truth. The significance was in killing the demon. The significance was in destroying sin. The significance was in destroying the unrighteous. Coming home is no big deal. But what are you doing to return home? This is important. Even our country's cricketers go to play. And when they bring home a trophy or a big win, the public gathers at the airport to welcome them. What did they achieve?
They achieved victory. Victory is celebrated. We don't celebrate the arrival of those who are returning home victorious. What have you achieved? You brought home a result. You came first, cleared a difficult exam. You are welcomed in your own home. They welcome you, they embrace you. Your mother kisses your forehead. They don't celebrate your arrival. Maybe you were scolded in the morning. What have you achieved now? That is important. What did Lord Ram achieve? He is returning home victorious for all the values he received from childhood and the lessons he learned under the guidance of his guru. Who lost? He defeated the one who was against Dharma. There is no enmity with Ravana. Ravana's conduct was contrary to Dharma. His contrary conduct was defeated. Sin was defeated.
The evil tendencies were defeated. The evil tendencies were defeated, the sins were defeated. The celebration is that he is returning home having won the truth (Satyameva Jayate). Then, the second significance is related to Lord Krishna. On this day, Lord Krishna was victorious over Narakasura and freed the 16,000 cowherds who were in his captivity. The Lord had eight queens. These 16,100 were dependent on those whom he freed from Narakasura's captivity. Their families did not accept them. The Lord gave them a place in Dwarka. This is everyone's misunderstanding. Perhaps Krishna had 16,108 queens. Yes, it is a different matter that someone becomes dependent on God. They consider God their everything. They consider God their protector. So, when one says "husband," in that sense, God is the husband of all creation. Be it man, woman, animal, bird, tree, or plant, God is the husband of all. The husband of the world, the father of the world, the husband of the world, the father who sustains and reveals everything, and is
considered the husband of the world, the nurturer. It is also believed that Lord Krishna triumphed over Narakasura on this day. Goddess Lakshmi emerged from the churning of the ocean on this day. Her worship is also prescribed. Many things are mentioned in the scriptures that make this day significant. But now we are talking about the Diwali of the Vedantists, those who follow the path of Vedanta.
What does their Diwali mean? Their Diwali simply means that when the festival of Diwali arrives, we should take a look at our thoughts, our nature , and dispel the darkness in our minds. Light the lamp of truth. The lamp that never goes out. The Diwali of the Vedantists is such that for those who understand Vedanta, who become well versed in Vedanta, for those within whom the lamp of truth is lit, every day is Diwali. There is no single occasion. When a special date is determined, we will celebrate Diwali.
Within the home of a Brahma Gyani, this lamp of awakening, the lamp of truth, the lamp of understanding, always burns . Now, when we talk about lamps, everyone thinks of a clay lamp. Let's say a brass lamp. An external shape comes to mind. And a flame burning in it begins to be understood. But if we look at the entire journey from the beginning of this lamp to its lighting, you will understand the nature of effort in Vedanta. We just saw that everyone fought: for the clay, for the cotton, for the flame, for the oil, for the matchstick. Everyone considers their own significance significant. But when did the lamp light? When everyone recognized each other's significance.
They will recognize each other's significance. Where did the journey begin? The journey began with clay. Kumar must have brought clay from somewhere. He must have brought clay home on a donkey's back. Whether it's a mule or a donkey, it doesn't remain on the mule's back after that; it's thrown into the courtyard, then sifted, then kneaded with feet, then put on a wheel, then dried in the sun, then put into the sieve if needed, then painted, and finally, it reaches the market, becoming valuable. Even there, if it stumbles even slightly, it will return to the dust. In Vedanta, this is the journey of a seeker. Here, the beginning doesn't begin with creation, it begins with annihilation. Everywhere , the beginning begins with becoming.
Become a devotee, become a disciple, become something. Here, the beginning begins with giving up. We come to the beginning. Even the guru makes us ride on a mule for a couple of days. You are very good, you have great feelings, you are like this, you have great faith. After that, he will throw us into the courtyard. How can it be dried? Then, what process is there to sift the garbage within you? Or the mind thinks that it remains the same as it was welcomed in the beginning; it's not possible. To make anything, you have to break or cut it. You don't cut to make vegetables. A tailor doesn't cut cloth to make your dress. A goldsmith doesn't melt gold to make jewelry. The beginning is to destroy. So many people have the misconception that knowledge will be attained through spiritual practice. Knowledge won't come through spiritual practice. A guru will be needed. Knowledge won't come without a guru. Then they think, if knowledge comes from a guru, then there's no need for spiritual practice. We need
spiritual practice. First, there's no faith in the guru, no devotion, no belief; the means have no foundation. But without the foundation of spiritual practice, the Guru's grace cannot be gathered. Concentration of mind is needed, faith is needed, and the vessel must be prepared. Only then will the Guru's grace be gathered. So, the beginning is to destroy. You lose and gain a sliver. What other cleverness is useful here? No cleverness is useful except for destroying the ego. We come to the Guru to become nothing. A seed dies while remaining in the same soil.
And a tree also grows while remaining in the same soil. The loss of my false existence also lies in the Guru's refuge. And the realization of the ultimate existence also lies in the Guru's refuge. The soil will nurture me , and the tree will grow in the soil until the end. He said, "Now I have become a tree. I am leaving the soil. No matter how green a tree may be, it will dry up and die, it will fall. It will cease to exist. To die, one must come to the Guru, and to experience the ultimate, one must also seek refuge in the Guru. The soil also destroys. The soil also reveals the tree. The Guru also destroys your lies. He also reveals the existence of truth. Both tasks are the Guru's. By defeating both tasks, he will sift the soil, grind it, pound it, knead it, and give it a beautiful shape, making it precious.
This task is also Kumar's. Today, on Diwali, the festival of lights, you have also named the carnival, Deepotsav . The festival of lights. Now, even if millions of lamps are lit outside, it is of no use if there is darkness inside. Distribute plates upon plates of sweets outside." But the Vedantists have prepared this sweet, there is no satisfaction except in eating it. Don't think this sweet is something easy. It must have been many confectioners like Vashistha Muni and Bhola Baba who revealed this Vedanta. Dada must have used the ladle of constant contemplation. This knowledge was revealed. Its sweetness is his austerity. Its dignity is the austerity of great men. The Diwali of the Vedantists is a very different Diwali.
First, it became clay. And it's a strange thing that this lamp, which was just now showing pride, must have surrendered first, must have surrendered to Kumar, must have endured everything. It must have gone through the process: being thrown in the courtyard, pounding, grinding, sifting, kneading, putting on the wheel, or making it by hand. But after it was made, after it came to the market, after the iron was ignited, an ego crept in. This is a great caution. The more a seeker does not perish, the more he sings songs about perishing. He told me this way, turned me this way, did this to me here. This is that "I." The full form hasn't yet come into being.
But along with the form, the "I" has begun to emerge. Well, many times we say we're talking about the Guru, but look within your subtle mind. You're not just talking about the Guru. Your ego also jumps up. Your "I" also wants to manifest from within. Then we create a new existence. A new "I" has manifested. That's why we call it awareness. Caution. This is a very important factor. The seeker doesn't even realize it. It becomes what it is.
Then the ego of superiority comes in. I do well. I manage well. I am. I am very wise. I have understood the Guru. I am very intelligent. I am very wise. And this has consequences; your nature cannot become flexible and loving. This is the result. Because there is pride of superiority inside. I have understood the knowledge very well. This one has not understood it. This one doesn't act on the knowledge properly. This one doesn't act like that. So, dryness arises because we are creating a new existence for ourselves.
Even speaking from experience, we continue to satisfy our ego. This lamp, after being fully formed, becomes filled with pride. The seeker, midway through the journey, continues to nourish himself with ego. Somewhere within him, the "I" remains awake. "I have sacrificed so much. I am so free. I did this, I did that." This "I" accompanies the seeker all the time. So , the pride displayed by this lamp was not erased, not created, but the dignity of this existence would have remained intact if it had humbled itself. A saint asked, "How are you so humble? How can you lose so much? How do you bow so low?" He said, "I remind myself, whose existence is made of dust , will merge with dust." Brother, what should I do? He said, "I remind myself.
" Born from dust, raised in dust, will merge with dust. Not just your form will be found in dust. Your name will also be found. He said, "I keep enlightening myself all the time." This story of the lamp wasn't a small one. It shook me to the core. Caution is maintained until the last breath. It becomes a reality. A few people start believing, a few people start asking, and we help people. When we start sharing our experiences, we help. As we help, the "I" creeps in. "I'm so superior, I'm so good, I'm so wonderful ," and then that "I" begins to manifest in body language and everything. The mind remembers losing itself. I was scolded like this, told this, "I didn't go to such and such a place. I sacrificed this and that. I died serving this and that." The inner self remembers something bigger. Just two or three days ago, someone told me, "I'm giving myself thoughts. You must be polishing me like a manj." I said, " First of all, you're not that perfect yet. You need to be polished like a
manj. You're not that perfect yet. Don't give yourself wrong thoughts. What will happen? You'll distance yourself from your Guru. You'll lose your devotion." Then you'll say you've served a lot. Ego will creep in. At some point, your mind will say, "This is what I came here to do.""Let's go." Have complete love for the Guru. Invest your entire mind in the Guru's knowledge. Everything else is natural.
And always remember, no incarnation imitates one another. No one grew a beard and wore a long robe like Guru Nanak Dev. No one wore a crown or a peacock crown like Lord Krishna. Each one has its own play. Parables may be told, things may be explained, but only for your upliftment. There isn't a single way. Even school teachers write questions in a twisted way. How can there be only one way for a Guru? So don't fall prey to misunderstanding. It means you've become something. It's okay. If you can't become Radha, that's fine. I should become something. I need existence. Humans need existence. If someone makes a lamp, they will see themselves as equals. Become something.
So, this lamp is providing a great awakening. Don't try to become something while you're dying. When existence is given, the clay is being given an existence, that of a lamp. That is the tension of clay. The existence we are being given is the existence of the Supreme. There is no scope for duality, no sense of superiority or inferiority. Where the Guru is establishing us, a separate form is being given to it; we are not being given a form. By erasing our name and form, we are being united with the Supreme. We must remember the lamp. I am clay. Whatever the external form, I cannot forget clay. Remember clay. We are being established in the Supreme Being. We are standing in some worldly designation, in worldly things. You make this yours. This is your great servant. I have never seen a servant till date. Gajebi even worships Ram.
You are watching. You become one. You will become a servant. You will become a devotee. I am a great devotee. So and so is your great devotee. If he knows the title of a devotee, then deep down he is not a devotee. The devotee does not know that he is a devotee. Hanuman is unconscious. I am a devotee. Vivekananda is unconscious. I am a devotee. If he is conscious, then how is he a devotee? Neither does a wise person look at anyone from this perspective. If a wise person looked at someone from this perspective, he would not be able to establish him in the ultimate. Vedanta would remain incomplete. One who is meant to be elevated to the ultimate cannot be given any title even here. And if you create a title, the guru is standing with a stick, he will break it, and you too will face problems. He does not let you set foot anywhere. The guru is considered a guru. He does not let you set foot anywhere. Wherever you step, he will strike you and make you fall from there. He does not belong to the
saintly class. He used to make his disciples fall by putting his foot in such a way. He was once asked. He said that whenever someone makes a mistake, he does not say anything. He puts his foot in the way. Sometimes we fall face down, sometimes on our backs. Wisdom comes. Then we become something. Then the guru will put his foot in the way. Sometimes you will suffer. He puts a stop to everything. He will even put a stop to your selfless work so that you do not achieve anything. After that, the law became a thing. What use is this law? Where did it come from? What does this law even exist? It doesn't exist. The resources we are given that can reveal the radiance of truth, the qualities that a guru reveals, which somehow become the hallmark of truth, we start to feel proud of them too.
Brother, moving from vices to virtues is your sadhana. And after that, rising above both virtues and vices is knowledge. We think we have reached this virtue. We have become knowledgeable. We have learned to speak . We have become wise. We copy even a little of the guru's body language just by watching him. We have acquired body language. We have become knowledgeable. We have learned to speak with a smile.
We have become knowledgeable. Something is going on inside. We don't let any expression appear on our face. We have some kind of knowledgeable answer. We have become knowledgeable. This is how the lobby inside starts fluttering. I also come here. I do this work very well. I do this service very well. I'm very clever. I've caught the Guru. Sometimes detachment flashes through your life. Sometimes you cross the world, your relatives, and society and move on. This little sparkle that begins to emerge, the inner self says, "I am the one who absorbs the Guru's knowledge, I am the one who makes the Guru's knowledge comfortable, I am the one who imbibes the Guru's life in wisdom." People become captivated by this sparkle, but the mind forgets that this sparkle is given by the Guru. You can sing here, "Chhamak ke dhamak phulvan mamak, everything is from you, Lord." But this sparkle and shine is nothing but the Guru's. The Guru's hard work is behind it. Your mind must have been so stubborn. How much confusion
your mind must have created. Your mind must have turned away many times. It's all the Guru's hard work. He must have made you forget millions of mistakes. So today, I was able to reveal a little sparkle. Coal doesn't turn into diamond just like that. It certainly appears that we have become very enlightened. We have become very like that. People are able to become enlightened through you. Test yourself from here. Someone will become enlightened through the enlightened. But most people are simply impressed by others. Someone was impressed by you. After that, where did they go? Where did you go? Someone is enlightened by a wise person. Coming near a burning lamp, another lamp also lights up. But is it possible that we take an extinguished lamp to a lamp with a light? The one with a cell, the other one, has the ability to light it.
It has the ability to influence. It looks beautiful. It looks very lovely. It is very nice. This time, strange lamps have come. The other day, someone gave me a lamp. Put it in water. As soon as it was put in water, it started burning. Yesterday, they gave it to me. Now, put water where you pour oil inside the lamp. As soon as you put water, it lit up. Very beautiful, very nice. We said so, everyone saw it. But the thought remained that this is an impressive lamp, not an illuminating one. It is showing its effect by shining brightly. If we place an extinguished lamp near it, does it have the ability to light it? A big misunderstanding arises. Just by influencing someone with just a few words, they feel as if they are fully illuminated, and you exert your inner strength, hoping to enlighten them. Now , the more strength you exert, the less it will short-circuit. Such wires must be interconnected. If you exert too much force, it will either fuse, short-circuit, or explode. And you see the original lamp we light, the one
that has the capacity to ignite others. When you see a Lodhi burning in its own light, in its own radiance, or see Holika burning, the radiance that manifests from that fire, the fire of truth, is something different. So, don't become a lamp that illuminates, but become a lamp that influences and illuminates. But for that, you must be fully illuminated yourself, and you will become illuminated by drawing closer to the Guru; only when you draw closer to the Guru will you become illuminated. And there is one more thing about that lamp: darkness beneath it. If it burns alone, it will shine with the Guru. If it shines with the Guru's lamp, even the darkness beneath it will disappear. Therefore, we can't simply fall in love with what we see.
If you light a lamp from a cell phone and someone comes along and tries to take the light, we'll laugh out loud, " Oh! It's a fake!" So when people tell you, "I'm going to sacrifice myself for you," understand that it's the same lamp; no one will get the light. People do come, even fools, even ignorant people, thinking this is everything; they want to take the light, take your sacrifices. They want to sacrifice themselves. Not yet. Then, the one who considers the oil a hymn is either a guru or an immortal being. The intellect is not a hymn. The intellect in which knowledge is embedded is not a hymn. Even the memory of the scriptures we've memorized is not a hymn. All that's possible is to give an impressive lecture. Talk about the scriptures, recite a few verses, mention a few names. It's not a hymn.
When the intellect is the hymn, the memory is the hymn, then you are deceived. Either it is the Guru's hymn, in which there is no 'I'. The free 'I' is the obstacle. When does this light become unbroken? When the 'I' is not in the way. It becomes uninterrupted. The bondage ends, the obstacle ends. There is complete love for the Satguru. That hymn is the hymn. Here, the state has become complete in one's knowledge, that hymn is eternally complete. Who is Vivekananda's hymn? Who is Guru Nanak Dev's hymn? This hymn is the perfect Guru. Look within yourself, it is like a lamp, if you mix oil and water in it, it keeps flickering. Your 'I' is in the middle. There is no 'what you have heard, read, or experienced' in it. The flame flickers. It doesn't work. The hymn should be God. In the beginning, when we were put to work, we used to say, 'God, what did we say?' They used to say, 'You go and sit' and tell us, ' Come on, become your Guru, and begin.'
Then see. We've been observing this all along. For so many years, for so many years. Just a day or two ago, someone asked me, "When you start talking, the first sentence comes to you at that exact moment. Where does it come from? It comes at that very moment. By the time the microphone comes forward, I don't even know what to say. The conversation begins suddenly. So, just as you listen, we listen too. The words belong to one God. The words belong to the Guru. There is one very simple hymn . And concentrate on that hymn. You will live in great bliss. And when the hymn intellect is occupied, it becomes very difficult. You won't remember. You have to recite this, you have to tell this, you have to do this." So many people keep choosing things to sing the praises of the Guru. Then, they'll go somewhere for a satsang. They have to tell this. They write it down and put it in a corner. That's the kind of thing. Hey, meditate so much that it remains alive even after 50 years. What else do you have to tell after writing
it down in a corner? "This is the Buddhi Stotra. They themselves have no joy in it, and it won't make any difference to those they narrate. The Buddhi Stotra is the nature of memory; it is the Stotra. I will extract the things stored in my memory and recite them, I will recite them as I have memorized them, but it is wrong. The Stotra becomes a devotional Stotra, the inner wire is connected, that Stotra becomes. Look, you can install as powerful an inverter as you want. After all, even charging that inverter requires electricity. So, your intellect, your memory are just inverters. And quite small inverters.
They can't even run an hour of satsang. The fan stops mid-sentence, and that too. You need a Stotra. And when you are lost, who comes and does the work? I don't know the doer, so don't say that the Stotra is something else. I have the Stotra, God. Now let him strike a matchstick, brother. This is the glory of the Satguru. He neither needs a lamp, nor a flame, nor oil, nor a matchstick. He made you Angad to take it by joining your body parts. The Satguru revealed a light from a light.
The Satguru's gaze is enough. Coming close to the Satguru is enough. He needs little from outside. He needs some fire from outside. He needs fire from outside. He burns you without heat . He melts your self without heat. He gives shape without heat. What is this matchstick for? Well, tell me, what can you do with a matchstick? You don't even know when this light was lit within you. You don't even know if you tried to rub it. If we talk about rubbing, the Guru himself rubs it. And the biggest thing is that this fire, this flame, is not something given from outside. The Guru reveals the truth within you. That is what is called the light. Understand just this much. Many lamps are lit outside, so people say Diwali, but inside the mind it is a new moon. Coming to the Guru, a lamp is lit , and the Guru repeatedly says," Be a lamp, light your own lamp, be your own lamp. "And this one lamp lit by the Guru is enough to dispel the darkness of many lifetimes and to celebrate Diwali every day. There, everything is
external. There, only show-off. You'll go to the market and buy beautiful lamps. The shape looks beautiful. But no matter how many lamps you light, does the new moon remain within you? You've been doing this for years. There's the darkness of a new moon within you. The Guru illuminated your inner self. We shouldn't light even a single lamp externally. Sit comfortably . People will come and ask," Didn't you celebrate Diwali? "Say," I did. You're doing it for show. "But here, it's a different story. The joy, the light has come, the joy of the world has come!
Every day is Dussehra, every day is Diwali for me. Every day is Dussehra, every day is Diwali. When did Bulleh Shah experience the festival of lights? When he met his Satguru. When did Diwali happen in each of our lives? When we met the Satguru. The darkness within me hasn't been dispelled, the light hasn't triumphed over the darkness within me, so how can we truly believe it's Diwali? Dispelling the inner darkness is important, isn't it?
The darkness of the mind is gone, it's Diwali. We must break free from the captivity of Narakasura. Our ignorance is Narakasura. The demon has already trapped us in hell. We must be freed from Narakasura's captivity. The Ravana in the form of ego within us must die. Now the lamp itself has become useless. Everyone is fighting because of ego. How will the lamp light up? It won't. Ego is the greatest enemy of Narakasura . Humans live in its captivity. So, outside, let alone one hundred, go bankrupt. We remain the same. From the outside, it seems like Diwali has arrived, a festival has arrived, and something has happened. What joy can Diwali bring if our body isn't in good shape? And when we worship truth, we don't have to worship Lakshmi out of greed. We believe in destiny. What do we need to worship? Why should we be afraid? What if Lakshmi gets angry?
Whatever Narayan is in our heart, whatever action he may or may not perform? When Vishnu is with me, in the form of Vishnu, do I have to summon Lakshmi from outside? Lakshmi will come wherever I am, and I don't care if she comes or not. The wise remain in knowledge and do not let pride overtake them; we will remain in our resolve. What do we have to do with these things ? What do we have to do with getting entangled in useless worldly affairs?
So, Diwali is true only when the darkness of the mind is dispelled. When the inner lamp shines. This body of clay has been forged by God. It is the Satguru's job to light the lamp of enlightenment. The Satguru's job is to light the lamp of the soul. And when that soul lamp is lit, the darkness within vanishes forever. That is the true Diwali. Now, Dada Bhagwan says that all days are the same because every day is a festival; every day is his joy; every day is light. People will try to light it up today; they will light it up. In the morning, all those extinguished lamps will be at their feet. You'll burn your hands.
Where will they be in the morning? Those lamps. The watchman must be collecting them and taking them away. So, after lighting them, did you look back? No, you were busy. You came inside, started praying, ate sweets, and then went to sleep. Did you look back? You didn't even look back. Did you light them to decorate the house or for pure vibes? Did you light an outside lamp to enlighten yourself? These days, everything is about showmanship. No one wants to work hard.
Who will bring the lamps, wash them, dry them, then sit down and make a flame with cotton? Then pour oil, then light them. Shortcuts, shortcuts, because even if we look at external festivals, devotion has vanished. Hard work has vanished. Everyone wants to take shortcuts. And the Guru also explained the meaning of festivals. Suppose you go home and light a lamp. You will light it with devotion. You will light it with love. Meaning, you will celebrate a simple Diwali. That's why you sang two lines:" Celebrate the true Diwali, O lover, celebrate the true Diwali. "Now, you will say," Are there two Diwalis, true and false? " False is considered to be only a show.
True is considered to be one in which the lamp of the soul is lit. True Diwali is considered to be one that illuminates me. False Diwali is considered to be one that illuminates the outside of the house and courtyard, without making any difference to me inside. This is the true Diwali. Now Ram has come, it is Bilni's Diwali. Ram has come, it is the Diwali of the people of Ayodhya. If your Ram is wandering in the forest, what kind of Diwali is yours? Brother, on the day of Karva Chauth, the women of the entire neighborhood broke their fast after seeing their husbands and the moon.
Your husband has not yet returned home. How is your Karva Chauth complete? My Ram should also have come to my house. Haven't you exiled Ram? When he is not visible, it means he is in exile. And you know the significance of festivals. That is why people do not celebrate festivals with decency. Some go out and drink. Some gamble. Worship is being performed at home. You took Mother Lakshmi to the gambling house. You took Mother to drink alcohol. You took Mother to commit misdeeds. Because you do not know the meaning, you do not celebrate with decency. What's the decency in celebrating festivals outside? We exchange gifts. Everyone sees value in them. This might be going to waste. He gave me this thing at my house. He didn't give me this. Look how nice he gave me. Love has no value.
Everything is in monetary terms. How do we know? How do we even know the value of a festival? In fact, which scripture says that in the name of a festival, you should go out at night and drink and gamble? Which scripture says that in the name of a festival, you should celebrate it. It's a custom. A festival is incomplete without this. Those who don't go out, sit at home and play games. You just worshipped Goddess Lakshmi with your family. Now you've put that on hold. You just opened the doors and windows of your house. If Lord Rama comes, sit and sing his praises. Then Lord Rama will come.
Where have you been so busy? That's why you're in a hurry. We hold a satsang in the evening on Diwali, but not everyone comes. The priest has set aside time for worship. We need to perform puja, and we know what to do after it. There's a time for puja too. Uddhav, it's all about love, there's no time limit. True puja is with the guru. What puja will you perform? He keeps old silver coins in his safe. He'll take them out. He'll dip them in raw milk.
He'll perform aarti for Goddess Lakshmi . He'll dip jalebis in milk and eat them. The puja is over. Where's the mind? The mind is there. The children want to hurry up and get some milk and jalebis. The adults want to get up early. They should gamble. The men want to drink. What kind of puja is this? Worship is supposed to connect with God and allow me to become immersed in Him. This is still considered puja. What kind of puja is this where you sing aarti, move the plate around, and then, deep down, you're thinking," I need to gamble quickly. I need to go see my friends. "I gave you a time of this time. What's the matter? This isn't a festival. The festival began when the Guru lit the inner lamp. It began to pick out the darkness. A lamp is supposed to consume darkness. It gives light, but darkness consumes it. May this happen within us too. May a lamp burn that swallows darkness. Until the darkness within you is destroyed. Don't think you lit the lamp. The lamp will burn, and the darkness will disappear.
And you will make your own comparisons. What was I before? What am I now? You will make your own comparisons. What was my nature before? What is it today? What was my mind like before? What is it like today? Only you will know yourself. Then you will understand that the Guru has lit the lamp. Only then will all darkness be dispelled. Only when the darkness is defeated will it be Diwali. Otherwise, it will be a festival of lights. The same sorrow, the same trouble, the same bitterness inside will be of no use. The inner one should be sweet. The inner one remains bitter. Even after giving boxes of sweets, there is bitterness. The inner resentment and hatred are the bitterest of all these. Outside, they will deliver boxes of sweets, but what will be the benefit of sweets? They even deliver lamps to people's homes. So many beautiful packagings have arrived.
Diwali gifts are given. There's darkness within you. You're distributing lamps. Sometimes this happens even in selfless ways. There's darkness here. You distributed lamps at someone else's house. What did you get, brother? And only that Diwali is auspicious when a lamp is lit in my house. Call those whose house has suffered a tragedy. They say" Shubh Diwali, "but how auspicious is it for me? An inauspicious event has happened in their house. They consider it a" Shubh Diwali, "but they don't. You should also pay attention to this. What is called a" Shubh Diwali "? How is it a" Shubh Diwali "? When a lamp is lit in your house, there is happiness in your home. That means there is happiness in the mind. The lamp of the soul burns in darkness. Devotion and love should be my source. I am completely connected to the Guru. Every moment is spent in bliss. Then it's a" Shubh Diwali. "There should be no attachment or hatred in the mind. If there is attachment or hatred, then it's a" Shubh Diwali. "Then where is
Diwali? When is Diwali? When there is no attachment or hatred in the mind. There is love in the heart. It's a" Shubh Diwali "for everyone. We are Hari Om Bhaiya! Brother, you really gave me such a good meaning for" Shubh Deepawali "that it felt like you just used lines a moment ago, just lines. The meaning you gave for each line," Now it's Shubh Deepawali, "really felt like you were just taking in every word , every word, to say," Now it's Shubh Deepawali. "And the difference you just mentioned between" Prakatit "and" Prabhavit, "I had never even noticed the huge difference. So, if we take one meaning very casually, saying," Okay, this is the normal diya, "and these are the ones that are now sold," it seems like, "Okay, let's use this as a shortcut." But their actual meaning is publishing and also making the other one shine. And this one means "Prakatit"(influences). It means simply beauty, you explained it very beautifully. The difference was very nice. Hari Om Bhaiya Ji, I was really enjoying this today. I mean,
from the beginning to the entire satsang, it felt like we do a lot of external cleaning, we'll make the house shine every week, every 10 days, but we don't remove the dirt and darkness that's inside. I felt very good. Now I understand why it's important to come here regularly. Yes, sir. I really enjoyed Neeraj's cleaning. I'm always in a frenzy right now. I can't control myself instantly at that time.
Unless you make rules, nothing will work out. Regularity is needed. Bhaiya Hari Om. Pranam Bhaiya. Bhaiya, I was able to understand what was in my life before I met you. I was an extinguished lamp before I met you. That's right. When you say that there's heat in the Guru's words, I could feel that heat today, sitting there, that we're undergoing the heat. Our vices are melting. So, the Guru liberates us in four ways: through his words, through his touch, through his divine vision. So today, I felt, brother, that you were saving me. You were melting my ego. I've found a place under the chandelier of Guru's mercy, what more could I ask for?
Very good. Life is a gift of His mercy. Brother, I really liked this: our intellect can never be our source. The source is only our Guru. Meaning, the knowledge we impart to the other person in a sequential manner will neither affect them nor us. And our experience will only open up when we remain connected to our Guru. Very beautiful. Thank you, brother. One thing I liked was that you just described the lamp: it went through that process in its inception, then went to the market, then its ego stood up again, and then the illuminated and impressed state, that it may have bowed once, but after that, as you just said, we bow slightly, and we praise it too much. Hmm! I made a mistake there. This is the caution.
Hari Om, brother. It was a very very good satsang right from the beginning. What you told me that even I don't know that let's go and become a Guru and start. So I felt that Bhaiya, I just saw it and I don't think you would know that there was something, I don't know anything, you described so much goodness of everyone, I mean the presence of mind that you obviously have, I can't even imagine, the law of the matchstick felt so good that the Guru doesn't need any burden.
Really Bhaiya, you give so much love, that matchstick can set fire outside. Isn't it? And people set fire outside among themselves too. To burn the inner self, to melt the inner dirt, the heat of the Guru is needed. He burns what is useless, he saves the true existence. This is the glory of the Guru. Truly Bhaiya. From your perspective, there is a constant practice; the lamp you have lit doesn't go out from time to time. It means it was a very good satsang. Thank you very much. The entire satsang was very good. What you were explaining about every aspect of how much stress there is for us as we go through life seemed very easy, and good. We can't just light an external lamp and let it go. It was very lovely, what are we feeling while we are going through it? One thing you said is that only a lit lamp can burn. The one that has an impact cannot burn it. In that, when you said that the Guru awakens us with his law. Then after that, he doesn't let darkness remain even below because he keeps us under his shade. He
is a very lovely man. Hari Om. Hari Om Prabhu. It seemed very good that until I met you, there was all this drinking and gambling on Diwali. But since I met you, that day and today are truly the day. Nothing like that has happened. The lamp inside has been lit. I remember wondering what my condition would have been if I hadn't met my Satguru. You have truly transformed my life. Thank you. Send a microphone behind. I can't hear my full voice.
Hari Om. Your thoughts are so good that everyone relates to you. How do you know that everyone's feelings have entered your mind today? Guru has kept his conscience empty, right? Everyone's feelings are captured . Yes, tell me. Today's satsang was so lovely. I loved it so much. I can't explain it. I was feeling each and every point, and I can't explain it by touching the point. But I understood that the darkness from which I had come into my life is over today. Lord Rama has come into my life. Today I am so happy, not just today, but so happy that I can't describe it. Lord Rama has always been there; he has appeared. He has appeared. We truly cannot hear each and every one of them.
Everyone is so happy that you have made them so lucky. We didn't come. When we came, we were crying. While crying, you caught hold of us and laughingly released us from there and made us stand. These are definitely not small things for us. We didn't know anything. How did we come to you? We were just wandering around yearning. Some problems do happen. Now, come on, Lord, Lord, we know that if you go to God, your wishes are fulfilled. But this was something different. It wasn't like that. Wishes aren't fulfilled at God's door. Only the ' I' is fulfilled. If even a big ' I' is fulfilled, all problems are solved. It feels great that the entire satsang is understood so well. It sinks in. We feel it. Life seems changed. We see the rush in our lives. Otherwise, who knows what would have happened, whether we would have been in this world or not.
We are enjoying it a lot. This life is given by God. It's true. Yes, it's true. I am enjoying living life. This auspicious moment of Diwali has come filled with blessings and happiness.
